Stonechats, CornwallWelcome to our Cornish getaway. We hope you are comfortable in the house and get to really enjoy the facilities on site and use all this as the perfect base for exploring beautiful Cornwall.
Whatever the weather, the coastline is unbeatable — we give you some pointers here to help you choose. We also have tips for inland treasures.
This guide also explains some important need-to-knows for inside the house.
17 Golf Lodges, Atlantic Reach, TR8 4LX
For your Satnav, use post code TR8 4LX. Leave the A30 at the Highgate Hill junction, towards Newquay. Travel 1 mile down A39 to Halloon Roundabout. Take second exit to Newquay. After 0.7 miles Atlantic Reach is on the right.
There is a train station at St Columb Road, or Newquay where getting a taxi is easier.
After entering the Atlantic Reach entrance, follow round 3 bends, then pass the leisure centre car park on your right. This is where you pick up your leisure passes, now or later.
Go straight on, to the end, where you have to turn right. Then take first left and follow down, near to bottom. Stonechats, number 17, is on your left.
The best car parking is a little behind you, on both sides of the road, or down and to the right, but it's ok to stop outside the house to unload. The key safe is round the back, by kitchen door. We will provide the code to you.
Please make sure you have everything (chargers?) and pop the keys back in the keysafe as you go.
Please put your rubbish in the big bins in a car park.

We kindly ask all guests to refrain from smoking to maintain a clean environment for everyone.
We love our pets, and they are welcome in the living area — not on the sofas please. There is a stairgate. Help yourself to treats and essentials in the dog welcome basket.
To ensure a peaceful stay for all guests, parties and events are not permitted on the premises. We appreciate your respect for our neighbours and fellow guests.

There is probably less recycling here than you are used to, but please use the glass and paper/cardboard bins on the site. Nearest are in the bottom car park.
The boiler and central heating works automatically according to the temperature. Instructions for boosting if required are inside the cupboard at the top of the stairs.

Oven — if the oven is off at the wall, turn it on and push the middle button to start the clock. It will then be intuitive.
The Blue Cafetière — is a hoot — don't push the filter down! If you do, the French get their revenge. Just wait a bit and give it a wiggle.
Swimming, classes, tennis. Don't forget to book your leisure pass activities in advance atatlanticreach.co.uk.
We have provided towels for in the house. Please bring your own for swimming and the beach. You may want to bring gear for tennis, walking, surfing, bird watching. There are some beach chairs and children's body boards under the stairs.
Sometimes the crows enjoy a tap dance on the roof. It sounds like a battalion of squirrels in the attic, but really you don't have to worry.
There is so much to do that we have left a sheet in the coffee table drawer with lots of ideas. Please feel free to scribble on it and we will update it. But here are some of our favourites.

Just the best spot for an evening swim, drink and maybe live music. Be prepared for the steps back up! 15 min by car.
Worth a drive north to Harlyn Bay for the Trevose headland and beaches, a walk and a pit stop. 35 min by car.
